TECHNICOLOR GLASSES
As children we look at life through Technicolor glasses
Focusing on all that we possess and seeing reality from a childs view
Not always recognizing when colors begin to fade
But seeing only black & white when all the colors have disappeared
Many times as childen we fail to realize that the line separating black & white is gray
As a child the gray area is rarely ever explained
But as we grow we fill in the unknown with our own ideas
The what ifs, the might have beens, the I dont knows
We attempt to justify the black by swirling in the white until only the gray stands
We take off our Technicolor glasses and our eyes bleed from the reality
Dry tears that bleed into the hearts of those who wont let them fall
The gray is tainted by the red and any hope for understanding vanishes
All that remains is a pool of bleeding hearts from children who werent able to get the color back into their Technicolor glasses
No need for bleeding eyes when your glasses are standing by
Find them, put them back on and see and learn about the gray
So that it to can fade away and the color of your glasses can once again
Reflect not only the wonderment of the child of yesterday but will clear
The bleeding eyes of the adult so that he can see things more clearly
